Frequently Asked Questions

As a home improvement company, Premier Home Exterior receives plenty of questions about our products, services, and what we do in general. Here are some of the questions we get asked often, along with some answers from our home improvement experts.

Do replacement windows come in standard, pre-made sizes?

Yes! You’ll likely be able to use a pre-made window if you have a more contemporary home that uses standard builder window sizes. However, Premier Home Exterior installs custom-made windows that are manufactured according to our measurements of each window opening.

Why are vinyl replacement windows so popular?

Affordability. Vinyl as a replacement window option is one of the most affordable window types for homeowners. On top of that, vinyl-framed windows are exceptionally durable and energy efficient.

How long does it take to install replacement windows?

That depends on the number of windows you’re replacing in your home. If you’re replacing one window, then that takes us about an hour. If you’re replacing every window in your home, it could take a day to a few days to finish the job.

What is the average cost to replace windows?

Again, this is a question best answered by the number of windows you’re replacing. Depending on the window type and size, one window replacement can cost you several hundred dollars. If you’re having every window replaced, then it will cost several thousand dollars.

Should I replace all the house windows at once?

Homeowners should work to replace all their windows at once to ensure they age simultaneously. That way, if one window fails, you’ll know it’s probably time to replace all of them.

How should I choose a replacement window company?

When choosing a replacement window company, homeowners should check to see how long their company of choice has been in business, if they are rated highly by the Better Business Bureau, and if they have stellar references and online reviews. Service costs are also something to consider!

When is the best time to replace my windows?

The best time is always now! But to be clear, most windows need replacing after about 20 years of use. Considering the leaps and innovations in window technology in the past few years, you’ll be getting new windows that are even better than anything else ever released.

As far as the best time of year to replace windows, it’s generally recommended that homeowners have windows replaced in the spring or fall when temperatures tend to be moderate. Windows can, however, be replaced at any time of year as long as weather allows.

What type of replacement windows are available?

Many styles and options are available for homeowners, but Premier Home Exterior offers vinyl windows from ProVia.

Customer Reviews

Premier Home Exterior has maintained a reputation for excellence, as evidenced by our glowing customer reviews. See what homeowners are saying about us.

“WE LOVE OUR WINDOWS! My wife and I have been wanting to get windows for 6 years. We took our time on determining which company was best and we chose Premier out of 5 options. They NEVER pressured us to buy. Prices were up front. Matt and our installers (Billy, Grant, and Wyatt) were extremely professional and flexible. We even had a garden window put in after one company told us "you need an inheritance for that." I will recommend Premier to everyone and will definitely use them in the future.”

Jonathan P.

“Premier replaced 5 windows and all the siding on our house! They did a great job and I would recommend them to anyone.”

Mary B.

“Premier Home Exterior was our choice for 31 new windows. The quality of the product is 5 stars, the price is reasonable and the company is trustworthy! Our home has a brand new fresh look. We are also looking forward to lower heating and air conditioning bills. The installation was completed in 2 days. The clean-up included the removal of all the old windows and screens with no extra charges. From the knock on the door to the clean up, we felt comfortable with our choice. We recommend Premier Home Exterior.”
